Celebrating Arden's Baptism!

This post is a little late, but a big even has happened in Arden's life! On September 16th, she was baptized at St. Luke Catholic Church. Father Joe baptized her and while she was unable to fully comprehend what was happening, we felt a wonderful welcoming presence. It is such a great feeling for Arden to be apart of the Church. She was baptized in the same gown that Chris was baptized in that was made by his Grandmother...how special is that?? Her Aunt Lexi is her Godmother and her Uncle Scott is her Godfather. We had a party in honor of Arden at my Mom's house afterwards and had a wonderful time! It was so amazing to feel the immense love of our friends and family. Thank you to everyone that came!!

Arden is 4 Months Old!

Holy Moly! My little baby is 4 months old already!

My how the time has flown by!!  I feel like saying we have a four month old sounds a lot older than saying that Arden is 3 months old.  On the flip side, I cannot believe that October 17th last year was when we found out we were pregnant with Arden.  It feels like a lifetime ago!  She is our little firecracker and is always keeping me on my toes.  I feel like she is teaching me more and more every day and also feel my heart growing for her each and every day.  I try to breathe her in and remember each moment whether it be feeding her, snuggling her when everything else in the world is still and nothing else matters, hearing her giggle, or the smile she gets when she hears my voice.  She makes me feel like a superhero.  I know that if I feel like I am doing something wrong, that loving Arden is the one thing I will always get right.  She makes it so easy!
She is such a smart cookie!  She has learned so much already from her 4 short months on Earth.  She is putting everything in her mouth now...even Lola!  :)  She reaches and grabs for toys and brings them right to her mouth to chew on.  I joke that she is the one that acts like a puppy!  She has the most beautiful laugh and giggle that makes me melt.  I am not sure if I enjoy her giggle or her talking more.  That little voice when she jibber jabbers is seriously amazing.  I love that she tries to imitate what I do with my mouth when I am talking.  Arden is very hyper  and sometimes I feel like she wants to just get up and crawl or walk right off of my lap.  Silly girl!  She is very close to rolling onto her tummy and rolls on her side very easily.  She loves her play dates and we have been staying very busy these days.    She is 14.9 pounds and in the 70th percentile and in the 75th percentile for height.  She was so brave for her shots!  Much more brave than Mommy!  Arden is also showing an interest in food.  I was munching on an apple and when I looked down at her she had the biggest smile.  I can no longer have a snack while I am feeding her because she will just look up at what I am eating probably wondering how she gets some of that!  Her FAVORITE game is to put her hand in your mouth while you make munching sounds.  She goes crazy for it!  She squeals with delight, but I have already started the, "Ok...one more time..."  She even tries to do it to elude bedtime.  Does that really start this early?  Sheesh!  This kiddo is going to give me a run for my money and I would not have it any other way.  :)
