Pineapple Showers!

Hello Blogger Land!

Baby Girl Aiello was 31 weeks as of yesterday, which means we have 55 more days...eek!  She is the size of a pineapple!  YUM! :)  I will say, I actually craved pineapple this week.

This week she is going through major brain, nerve, and eye development.  Her irises now react to light and all five senses are in working order!  She is between 15.2-16.7 inches long.  And because of our ultrasound this week, we know that she is 3.13 pounds and is STILL a girl.  Third time has to be the charm, right?? :)  This ultrasound was a growth scan since she was measuring big, but it looks like she is only measuring ahead by 3 days.  We were able to see all of her little organs and see all 4 chambers of her heart working away...that was incredible!  The tech and the Doctor both said she is very "proportional," which I view as a  really great thing.  She looked adorable as ever and was looking right at the camera.  Too bad we didn't have our 3D this week!  She was knelt down and just sucking on her little arm the entire time.  Here is a pretty cool shot we got that shows her little face. :)

I am feeling pretty good for the most part...just super tired!  My blood pressure was raised at my appointment, but I took it again that night and it was perfectly fine so I am hoping that was just a fluke.  I go to the Doctor again next Wednesday.  My feet have still been swollen, but off an on.  I think a pedicure will be in my future!  Although, I noticed in the shower this morning that I can no longer see my feet without bending over!!  Here is our 31 week picture:

The Doctor said she had a growth spurt and I believe it!!

Chris and I had a pretty stellar weekend this past weekend!  Friday night, we celebrated Kanishka's Birthday at Fast Times and Cooper's Hawk.  I had the best dessert at Cooper's Hawk with a big, warm chocolate chip cookie with melted Reese's topped off with vanilla ice cream...AMAZING!  I was the purse lady at Fast Times, but it was fun to see everyone race.

What nerds!

They are all just a blur!

Chris and I also went on a date night Saturday for dinner & a movie to see "The Lucky One."  How lucky am I that he would see that with me??  Let's go back to dinner....OMG!  It was amazing!!!  We went to Santorini in Fountain Square and it was THE best Greek food I have ever had...and I've been to Greece...lol!  It was incredible and I want to go back ASAP.  Here is a pic of Chris enjoying the hummus and saganaki!

Sunday was so much fun and so special!  My Mom hosted a Baby Shower for us with friends and family.  She put so much time and effort into making it look just right and I cannot thank her enough!  I loved all of the owl decor and she made all of my favorites to eat!  Thank you also to everyone that came!  Baby Girl Aiello and I feel so unbelievably loved and we cannot thank you enough for your generous gifts!!  Below are some pictures of the special day...ok a lot of picture from the day. :)

Sorry for the picture overload...I have lots more, but I wanted to put up some of my favorites!  I really did have such an awesome time seeing everyone!

I know you are probably on photo overload, but I have to share two more ADORABLE things that I had made for Baby Girl Aiello!  What do you think??

Lastly, a special Congratulations to Mike & Tammie Golio!  We are so sorry we could not make the Wedding.  We wish you both a lifetime of happiness!!!

30 Weeks- 9 More to Go!

Wow...this milestone seemed so far away when we found out we were pregnant at just 3 weeks and 2 days!  30 weeks...time has really flown and crawled by at the exact same time.  We have exactly 9 more weeks...63 days!  Baby Girl Aiello is the size of a large cucumber.  She is roughly between 15.2-16.7 inches and about 3.5-4 pounds!  We will know more precise numbers next Monday when we have a growth scan ultrasound.  She now has and is using all 5 senses and can even grasp a finger.  Her brain is getting wrinklier and her skin is getting smoother.

It's Cucumber Baby!!

I have been sooo lucky to have such a great pregnancy with this little one.  There has not been one issue with her and I am eternally grateful.  Is it too much to ask that this continues? :)  I could go through anything just knowing she was ok.  She has been moving and shaking a lot lately!  She still LOVES her lemonade and now has gone bonkers for Mexican food.  My favorite baby moment happened just this week.  It is no surprise she loves music.  I can turn up anything with a beat and she squirms with delight.  Chris was watching a couple of drum legends on YouTube...the drummer from Rush to be exact.  I told him to put the speaker closer to my belly and the second he did, she just started dancing up a storm!  It was amazing!  My belly was bouncing up and down and from side to side.  I think Chris fell more in love with her right then and there.  I really wish we would have taken a video of it!  It was not only remarkable to know that she could hear it, but that she really liked it!  I always wanted to play Classical music to help increase her IQ, but I am not sure that she would like that.  I just try to play anything upbeat for her and she loves it!

Could this be her?!

Pregnancy wise, things are still going pretty well.  Although, I did have to call my Dr. Saturday morning.  My feet swelled up to crazy proportions.  They are better, but not good.  I am trying to drink a lot of water and elevate them, but I have a feeling that this is something I will have to deal with for 9 more weeks.  Ugh...sausage feet!  Here they are in all of the glory:

As you can see, the left is way worse.  One more thing to make me feel less attractive.  "It's for a good cause...it's for a good cause" I keep telling myself.  Here is our 30 Week Photos:

Since Chris has taken my picture every week, I think he deserves some of the spotlight!  He has been so unbelievably supportive and I can not thank him enough for all that he has done, like painting my nails....Oh!  I have proof of his craftsmanship!

He does the majority of the chores around the house, makes my breakfast before work, and jumps into action whenever I need something.  Pretty much the best Husband a girl could ask for!  So here is the Daddy Week 30 Tribute and Vogue Session!  ;-)

We have a busy weekend planned!  We are celebrating Kanishka's Birthday on Friday (Part 1 of 2 of the best neighbors anyone could have!!), Chris and I have a date night on Saturday that was postponed from last week, and we have my my Baby Shower that my Mom is hosting on Sunday!  I am very very excited about this!!  I just hope the weather will just start to look up.  It will be so great to see all of my friends and family!

Let me explain why date night was "postponed."  Last week was really hard for Chris and I.  Lola was REALLY sick.  She was not able to keep anything down.  She was not her spritely little self and it broke my heart that she did not even reach for cinnamonkey!  But, after going to the vet and having numerous tests done and being dehydrated, she finally got some medicine to put her on the road to recovery.  She is 100% now and here she is....reunited with Cinnamonkey!  The towel was still down "just in case."

Week 29 and Feeling Fine!

Wow...a week has gone by?!  I feel like I was just writing in the blog!  Baby Girl Aiello is 29 weeks today!  That means it is exactly 10 weeks until her arrival on June 20th...or 70 days, but who is counting?  :)  She is the size of an acorn squash this week!  She is this big:

She is measuring between 15.2-16.7 inches and between 2.5-3.8 pounds!  Wow...all of that is squirming around inside me??  Right now, she is working mostly on building up her fat so she can come out all plump and cute! :)  For Chris and I, our favorite thing is "watching her dance."  I will lay down and just watch my belly move up and down...it is so neat!  I have felt pretty great this week...just a little tired which is to be expected.  Her favorite thing is still lemonade.  Without fail, within minutes of drinking it, she starts to dance.  I love it all of her little wiggles and jiggles!!  And now I am craving it!  Anyhow, here is our 29 week picture taken by Chris:

Last weekend, we had our first Baby Shower hosted by my Dad & Dawn!  We had a great time and it was a lot of fun to see my Dad's side of the family!  We got some adorable gifts that I find myself just continuing to look at.  My Dad & Dawn bought us our travel system stroller and car seat that we registered for which is another big item that can be checked off of our list!  Here are a couple of pictures from the Shower:

We had a great time and thank you to everyone that made the day special for us and Baby Girl Aiello!!

This past weekend was also Easter.  Chris and I went to Church which was nice since we have not been in awhile.  We have so much to be thankful for!  We also had Easter dinner at my Mom's.  After dinner, she decided to bring up a bin of our old baby clothes.  We were all sneezing from the dust, including Lola!  It was fun going through everything though.  From the looks of it, I am pretty sure Scott was dressed as a sailor most of the time. :)  And me?  Well, let's just say she pulled out this gem!

Want one more picture?  Here is the mobile that we had made for our nursery!  I am so in love with this!

Next up?  Interviewing Pediatricians & buying a car!

Ma Petite Chou!

Baby Girl Aiello is moving right along...28 weeks and as of yesterday we have 11 weeks to go until my c-section!  That seems so soon!!!  I have started making weekly videos for her on my iPhone that she can go back and watch when she's older.  Here is our 28 week picture and I think I have definitely "popped!"

I am still feeling pretty good!  Just very tired all of the time.  I find that it is getting harder to sleep.  If I sleep on my back, her weight presses into me which causes me to cramp, I obviously can't sleep on my stomach, and sleeping on my side causes my hips to hurt.  Maybe I should start sleeping upright!  Actually, that's not such a bad idea.  You may be wondering why I titled this post "Ma Petitie Chou."  Well, Baby Girl Aiello is the size of a Chinese Cabbage!

I learned back in high school French class with Mr. Spurgeon that one of the most well know French terms of endearment is "Ma petitie chou!"  Translation:  My little cabbage head. :)  So, that is Baby Girl Aiello this week....my silly little cabbage head!  ;-)

And boy is she a silly little girl!  Want proof??  Chris and I went in for my 28 week appointment on Monday and we also opted for a 3D ultrasound, which was incredible!  She is so beautiful!  I think she has my cheeks and feet and definitely Chris's mouth.  Why I say she is silly is because when we started the ultrasound, she was hugging her right leg like it was her best friend.  She was just sleeping like that.  Like her leg was a teddy bear!  I think we need to invest in some more cuddly toys for this kid.  Ever since her very first ultrasound, I got the impression that this kid liked to snuggle!  At another point she put her fingers up her nose...lol!  As if I wasn't in love with her before, I am now even more so after seeing that there really is a little person that is growing, thriving, and that looks so happy inside me!  Without further ado, her are her pictures!!  Who do you think she looks like?!

The rest of my appointment went really well!  She is measuring right on track!!  This is good since she was measuring big at my last appointment.  I now have appointments every other week.  I also had to take the glucose tolerance test and drink this very suspect drink.  Yuck!  And guess what?!  I passed!!  I am so happy mainly for the fact that this will help Baby Girl Aiello stay healthy as well as me, AND the fact that I can continue to eat my ice cream!!  This is one of my biggest cravings for sure!

And now I want ice cream. :)  My awesome Mother-in-Law bought me some Albanese Gummi Bears (my favorite!) so I am really looking forward to Chris bringing those home! :)  Chris is in Crown Point going on the Annual Good Friday golf outing with the camping crew...I know he is really looking forward to it!  We also have the Baby Shower that my Dad & Dawn are throwing for us this Saturday.  We are very excited for this!!  I will be sure to post some pictures. :)

Last weekend, Chris and I had our maternity photo shoot and I could not have been happier!  Holly, our photographer, posted some preview pictures on her website if you want to check them out!  Go to http://blueballoonphotography.com/.  Click on "the site" located in the middle.  Next click on "Client Proofing" at the top.  It will ask you for a password...type in Aiello2012.  That's it!  Here is a preview:

Here are also a couple of pics that Chris took!

Finally, I will leave you with what I *think* is our new car.  AND I believe we will be getting it Monday!  We are going to get the Hyundai Tucson.  The safety ratings are off the chart good, our payments will be lower than what we had budgeted for, and it drove like a dream!  We are going to get the Graphite Gray exterior and black leather interior.  I love the blue lighting that is on the dash!  ;-)  Below would be the exact car we would get.

What do you think?  Does anyone out there in Blogger Land have one of these??
