The Ai-owl-lo Nest: February 2013

Arden is now 8 Months old and nearly 20 pounds!! She is as fiery, sassy, playful, and loving as always. She now lifts her arms when she wants you to pick her up which melts my heart! She is very affectionate and loves to smile and giggle. Her giggle is contagious and I cannot help to giggle along with her! Her and I have our own little language. If I say "ba," she says it back to me with a big grin no matter what she is doing. In my mind, I like to think she is saying I love you. :). She rocks back and forth to crawl, but still has not crawled forward. She prefers to crawl backwards still. She does get into crawling position from sitting. She also loves peek-a-boo and playing with her toys. She has a guppy puppy (half puppy, half mermaid) that she is in love with and sleeps with.

She has three teeth and is doing great at eating solids. She also feeds herself really well! We have started to feed her soft table foods like shredded cheese, avocado, puffs, and egg. She likes the flavor of most things...it is the texture that gets her...just like Daddy! Her favorite food right now are shredded cheese, peaches, bananas, sweet potatoes, and raspberries.

Arden loves her puppy! Lola is so amazing with her and takes plenty of abuse, but she is so gentle with her. I am excited to see the great bond they will have in the future.

Chris has been traveling a lot with work and all in the past month he has been to Denver, Minnesota, and London. He is off to California this week. He has been super busy and we are very proud of how he is advancing his career!

We booked a family trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas with my Mom, Mark, and Scott! We are leaving April 8th and it will be great to have some warmer weather! Arden has never been out of the state, but we are applying for her passport tomorrow!

I am starting a business venture that I very excited to announce, so stay tuned for that! It is something I have been working on for awhile and I will be very pleased to share it with everyone very soon!
